Getting That Coach…

When I was running companies, there were always projects I just never got to, personal goals I just never met or an area I just needed to improve on and didn’t. There was always a fire to put out or someone on my team needing my attention. I find this is common for many C-level leaders or their reports. These are all good reasons to find a coach to keep your focus on what you really want to achieve.

What Makes a Great CEO

I have been on many management teams in several C-Level positons including CFO, COO and CEO. I was fortunate to have worked with some fantastic people so far in my career and I am sure I will work with many more. I know which ones I would jump at the chance to work with again. I joined in on a webinar a while back on Executive Search by Paul Stefunek of DHR International and from what he presented it became clear to me what the important traits were of great C-Level managers.

Three Things to Keep your Network in Shape

I like to think I am in pretty good physical shape and on the healthy side. To stay this way I have to work at it. I have made staying in shape a habit and it has become an integral part of my daily routine. I also need to push my limits to keep improving or I will fall behind a bit. It is not just being active but I need to eat the right foods and in the right quantities. All in all I feel pretty good and I know when I need to I can perform at my peak performance. We need to do the same things to keep our network strong and healthy so it is ready to perform when we have to use it.
